Takashi Murakami 727-272

A few weeks ago, I also received this Murakami print (signed and numbered). The second I was introduced to this artist a while ago, I knew I had to have one of his pieces. His work can be seen in Kanye West's Graduation album and he will be having an exhibition at the MOCA from October 29, 2007 through February 11, 2008.

Mike Mignola Hellboy Illustration

I recently acquired this Mignola piece in a trade (traded off a Jim Lee Batman page) and I'm quite pleased with it. It can be seen on page 152 in The Art of Hellboy.

Gake no ue no Ponyo (Ponyo On A Cliff)

I think I've been living under a rock because I just heard that there will be a new Miyazaki movie (Hayao, not Goro) coming out in 2008. Nausicaa.net states that the theme will be:

Ponyo is a goldfish princess who wishes to become human. Sosuke is a five year old boy who somehow becomes involved with Ponyo. A sense of closeness between a parent and child is a theme of the film.

Sounds like a story only Miyazaki could imagine. Apparently, he is storyboarding the entire movie in watercolour so I will be jumping on that Ghibli Storyboard Book as soon as it's available.

An Actual Nice-Looking Printer!

I was just thinking the other day that I have never seen a half decent looking printer but sure enough, Samsung just released these two models that are (for the time being) exclusively available through Apple stores. It's very PS3-like (in a good way) so I'm definitely digging these. No word on the print-quality and I can't seem to find out how large the scanning surface is. I'll need to buy a printer in the next year or so, so hopefully they'll become more readily available in Canada soon:
